Adams Respiratory Therapeutics Completes $25 Million Private Equity Financing Round

 FORT WORTH, TEXAS July 31, 2001 Adams Respiratory Therapeutics, a pharmaceutical company that develops, markets and sells prescription products to physicians specializing in ear, nose, throat (ENT), allergy and respiratory markets, has raised $25 million in a Series B round of financing.  Adams Respiratory Therapeutics will use the funds for expanded sales and marketing efforts, as well as further new product development.   

The follow-on round of financing was led by the Perseus-Soros BioPharmaceutical Fund.  Other round participants include Tullis-Dickerson & Co., Inc. and Merrill Lynch Ventures.  Salem Partners LLC served as advisor to Adams Respiratory Therapeutics on the transaction.
